As we are getting close to the end of the semester it is nice to look at how much progress I have made since my initial post this semester (here). Even after reading my mid semester update, I have managed to come quite far and can see a massive difference between my game now and then. Just comparing my original idea to what I have accomplished so far is very interesting, and I am able to see how some of it was, and is difficult to implement in such a short span of time, especially considering the fact that I was creating everything.
Overall I still have some things I would like to implement and change before the showcase, but am very happy with how my game is turning out so far. At the beginning of the semester I was worried that I had taken on too much and that my skills at the time would make this project difficult to complete. Now that I am at the final stretch and only have a few weeks left until the showcase, I can definitely say that I am happy with where my project is at the moment, even if I did take on a little too much. There have definitely been some hard times where I have lost motivation or struggled to implement features I want to include, but this project has been very insightful and a big learning experience for me. It has shown me that I am capable of making something on unity by myself in a shorter space of time, but still having quite a lot of the features I was wanting to include. With that being said, there are still some things that I don’t think will I will have time to add, but I am very proud with what I have managed to create.
