Pat O’Callaghan Prototype 2 Review

My second prototype shifted from my initial plans after receiving some of the feedback from the first prototype. For this prototype I decided to work more on how the camera will be implemented into the project in ways that wont hinder the experience. I came up with a couple of different ideas on where to place the camera and was able to get some valuable feedback from my classmates and professor. One of the things that was mentioned in my feedback was that I need to be able to keep it simple enough for my demographic to use effectively and wont limit or hinder the experience for the user. This immediately narrowed down my options out of the various sketches I had provided to my peers. Another point that was brought up was does the camera need to be actively involved the entire time? this particular question was about using the camera to record the building process and how it might turn off some people who don’t want the pressure of being on camera while they build. As an alternative to this, an idea was proposed about just using the camera in the end stages after the building process has been completed. This presents a new thing I’m going to have to figure out being whether or not the application will be able to identify a structure made out of various Lego elements and recreating all of the pieces of the structure.
