Admittedly, this write-up is late and because of this I don’t really remember what was commented specifically on my two examples of lighting. What I made for the second prototype was a mock-up of the lighting style I want or something similar to the style I want in the final animatic. I also created another two concept art pieces of interiors that will be part of the final production, which may be the final version it may not be, I’m not quite sure. I hoped to learn if I was on the right track with the room design and the soft lighting/shadow styling was viable or not for the final production. During this short presentation, I was told about Krita (the software I used for the third prototype) and confirmed that I was on the right track when it comes to lighting and the room designs. This information was received through three basic questions that I no longer remember, due to this second presentation being before thanksgiving break. Some questions I received that I now have some answers to were having to deal with my elevator pitch (otherwise known as my logline that I will speak more about during the prototype 3 post) and how I would deal with procrastination during the break (I don’t).
Suggestions were also made during the presentation, most of which were helpful. I did end up looking into Krita and being satisfied with how the production process was designed and how it is better than clip studio paint at animating. The environmental design of the city could use a bit more neon and bright colored details such as signs, windows, cars whizzing to and fro, etc. Overall, the second prototype presentation was exceptionally useful in guiding myself in the right direction.
