For prototype 2, I presented a short video with light effects, determining how I would achieve some of the effects I want to do in my installation. I think I was nervous and didn’t full understand how I would achieve my vision with COVID in the way and lack of resources at hand. However, I think the class feedback was tremendously helpful and I was able to get a much clearer idea on what i want to achieve, and How i’m going to achieve it.
So during my presentation, I think my classmates sorta understood what I was going for, but further expressed the issue of not being in person. With this, I got the suggestion to use Mozilla Hubs (thanks Nina!). I wrote it down and too much excitement, this was perfect for an online exhibition, and i’m now using the program to create prototype 3! Thus, the feedback was insanely helpful.
As for the actual Prototype 2 itself, I think I could definitely improve on it. What visuals can i create, and how can we complicate and diversify them further to create an enjoyable and fun experience for the virtual audience? How can i use my current knowledge of after effects and premiere to push the visuals further, while even using/learning adobe animate in order to push the limits of myself and the ideas I have for the project.
Nevertheless, I’m really excited to utilize Mozilla Hubs and further explore what I can do as a visual artist and in turn complete my thesis project!
